Annual event will take place June 8

On Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., shoppers will find toys, holiday decorations, clothes, shoes, books and other items when Episcopal Church Women (ECW) holds its yearly craft/yard sale at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. The sale will be held in the church yard at 754 Montauk Highway, Islip.
Episcopal Church Women, or ECW, is an organization that holds regular fundraisers at St. Mark’s for the sole purpose of doing good deeds through the church. The fundraisers, including the annual Christmas bazaar and annual craft fair/yard sale, help the ECW donate money and resources to various outreach projects; the outreach includes collecting food to donate to pantries, supporting a disadvantaged Girl Scout troop, donating to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, and helping those in crisis.
“We continue to donate to Episcopal Relief Fund, which helps areas which have been hit by devastations,” explained ECW president Robyn LoCricchio, who has been a member of the ECW for 20 years and a parishioner of St. Mark’s her whole life. “We sent funds to Hawaii when the fires devastated one of their towns. We sent funds to Ukraine, and Puerto Rico when it was hit by a hurricane.”
ECW also hosts various educational and health programs and supports church upgrades, such as helping with the cost of a roof, boiler, and air scrubber system.
Support ECW and explore merchandise from the Long Island vendors at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on June 8!
