Who knew charity could be so lavish?
Come to the third annual GiGi’s Playhouse Long Island gala

Down syndrome is the largest chromosomal disability in America, yet it is the least funded. GiGi’s Playhouse Inc. was established with the mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.
So far, the organization has been wildly successful.
With over 58 brick-and-mortar locations across the United States and Mexico—including Gigi’s Playhouse Long Island, in Patchogue—GiGi’s Playhouse is the only network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers in the country. Due to the commitment of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, all services, including therapeutic, educational, and career training programs, are offered for free.
Take part in the altruistic mission of GiGi’s Playhouse Long Island by attending their third annual gala on Saturday, March 16 at Land’s End in Sayville. The theme of this year’s gala is “Wonderland.” The annual gala is the Playhouse’s largest fundraiser of the year, funding the nonprofit organization’s free, purposeful programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their loved ones.
According to those that have attended in the past, the philanthropic night is truly magical.
“So far, every year, the excitement, love, and passion increases. There is a lot of fun, a lot of dancing, music, and a very energetic atmosphere,” shared Mike Cirigliano, president of GiGi’s Playhouse Long Island. “It is a night that no one wants to leave because they do not want the night to end, so we expect to have that same excitement and energy this year.”
Dominick Cirigliano, owner of Optibrand Rx, has been selected as the 2024 gala honoree due to his unwavering commitment and support of GiGi’s Playhouse Long Island.
“Dominick has supported us when we were just a startup committee. We fundraised for about three years to be able to open up our actual playhouse facility, and he supported us from the beginning by donating money, contributing time, and helping us get off the ground,” explained Mike Cirigliano. “Since we opened our doors, he stepped up even more with his involvement as far as sharing awareness outreach, being one of our major sponsors at all of our events.”
Gala attendees can expect a luxurious night of festivities, including cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a three-course seated dinner, live and silent auctions, magical entertainment, and lots of dancing.
The live and silent auctions will offer a wide array of items and experiences, including assorted baskets, sports memorabilia donated by professional organizations, and a private dinner party offered by private chef Charles Drayton from Exquisite Catering. With previous GiGi’s gala auction items including vacation packages and a Fire Island vacation home, this year’s auctions are sure to be riveting!
Numerous sponsorship options that include gala tickets are available online. Individual tickets are priced at $300. To purchase tickets, donate auction items, make a monetary donation, or purchase sponsorship, go to www.gigisplayhouse.org/longisland/gala.
